只今、サンディエゴに滞在中の宮城です。
月曜までラハブラに滞在してました。
そこでは、友人の家族の家に5日間泊めてもらいました。
自分のアメリカの兄妹のような三人姉妹なので、会うことができ本当に祝福でした。
というか、アメリカン・ジョークにも色々あるんだなと思わさせました。
彼らの会話は、陳腐な映画よりも楽しいものでした。日本でもこれくらいのジョークが許されたら面白いのにと思ったりもしましたwww
Until Monday, I was staying in Brea with my friend's family.
They are like my American sisters to me, so I was very blessed to be able to spend time with them.
One thing I really enjoyed was their conversation. Whether they knew or not, I think they really have nice sense of humor. hahaha
I sometimes hope that I can be as sarcastic as I am with Americans. (and I'm still learning LOL)
and I miss them a lot now.
約1週間半をカリフォルニアで過ごした訳ですが、気付いたことの一つは、とにかく食べ物がでかいということです。
ということで、これまで食べた食事の一部を紹介したいと思います。
One of the things that I noticed and think it unique to the states is the size of foods.
So, I will introduce some foods I had here with pictures.
"Red Robin"という50年代をモチーフにしたお店でした。
"Ruby's"という海の上のレストラン。シェイクもかなり美味しかった！
メキシカンもやはり大きい。このブリートスは、顔くらいの大きさはあった。
ニューポート・ビーチでのディナー。
エビとホタテでした。
"Chick-fil-A"オーナーがクリンチャンで、日曜には全店舗が閉まるそう。味も美味しい、人もいい、かなり気に入ったお店です。
とまあ、これからもたくさん食べるので。よろしく。^^/
気付いた人がいるかわ分かりませんが、タイトルに「アメリカン・フード」と書いたのですが、未だにアメリカン・フードがよく分かりません。（ハンバーガーを除いて）
You might have noticed what I want to say from the title. I still have not got what the "American Food" is. (maybe hamburgers would be one)
If you can define what American Food is, please let me know :)

One American food you have to try: A s'more! hahaha Roast a marshmallow over a campfire, then put with chocolate on a graham cracker. :) It might be too sweet for you, but not if you enjoyed the chocolate malt shake.
ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying reading your posts about your trip to the UK and now California. I live in Oregon, but I visited CA last June and went to Disneyland and the aquarium, and saw my relatives. I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in the States! God bless you, Ellen

ReplyDelete東京に帰ってからは、曇りや大雨で、そんなに暑くありません。最高で30度ちょっとかな。
夜もエアコン無しで眠れるので、体が楽です。
旅行、満喫してますね。顔も真っ黒に焼けてる。
サンディエゴは、よく聞く地名だけど、どこなのか見当がつかなかったので、地図を検索してみました。
メキシコ国境のすぐ上なのね。
アメリカン・フードもボリュームはありそうだけど、あまり味は・・・・
ロースト・マシュマロや、ピーナツバター＆ジャム・サンドねぇ・・・・
それにしても、女の子と写ってる写真が多くて、羨ましいゾ！
